Juan de la Cierva Training 2017: PhD obtained in 2016-2017

The Juan de la Cierva-Training helps to encourage the employment of young doctors for a period of two years in order to complete their postdoctoral research training in Spanish R&D centers other than those in which they carried out their work as predoctoral training. Candidates must meet the requirement of being a doctor and having obtained a doctorate between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2017 for the general access shift, and between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2017 for the access time for people with disabilities equal to or greater than 33 percent, except if they prove a cause of interruption according to the call

The participation requests are presented by the R & D centers, including the candidate researchers for their incorporation into the research teams. The selection is based on a process of competitive competition of the candidates based on their curricular merits and on the scientific-technical record of the research team in which they wish to integrate, giving special relevance to those merits related to the tutor researcher.

The Juan de la Cierva-incorporation grant aims to encourage the recruitment, by research organizations or Spanish R&D centers, of young doctors for a period of two years in order to strengthen the skills acquired during a first stage of postdoctoral training.

Candidates must meet the requirement of being a doctor and having obtained a doctorate between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2015, for the general access shift and between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2014 for the access time of persons with disabilities equal to or greater than 33%, except if they accredit an interruption cause according to the call.

The participation requests are presented by the R & D centers, including the candidate researchers for their incorporation into the research teams. The selection is based on a process of competitive competition of the candidates based on their curricular merits and on the scientific-technical record of the research team in which they wish to integrate, giving special relevance to those merits related to the tutor researcher.

BEATRIU DE PINÓS

Grants for the incorporation of postdoctoral research staff into the Catalan science and technology system, within the Beatriu de Pinós programme (BP 2016)

The purpose of the Beatriu de Pinós programme is to award 60 individual grants for the hiring and incorporation of postdoctoral research staff into the Catalan science and technology system.

All universities, research centres and hospital foundations located in Catalonia can benefit from this grant. Technology centres, technological activity support centres and technology dissemination centres are all excluded from this call.

MARIE CURIE

Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions - Research Fellowship Programme

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions, named after the double Nobel Prize winning Polish-French scientist famed for her work on radioactivity, support researchers at all stages of their careers, irrespective of nationality. Researchers working across all disciplines, from life-saving healthcare to 'blue-sky' science, are eligible for funding. The MSCA also support industrial doctorates, combining academic research study with work in companies, and other innovative training that enhances employability and career development.

In addition to generous research funding, scientists have the possibility to gain experience abroad and in the private sector, and to complete their training with competences or disciplines useful for their careers.

JAMES S McDONELL FOUNDATION

Founded in 1950 by aerospace pioneer James S. McDonnell, the Foundation was established to "improve the quality of life," and does so by contributing to the generation of new knowledge through its support of research and scholarship. The Foundation awards grants via the Foundation-initiated, peer-reviewed proposal processes described in the 21st Century Science Initiative.

AYUDAS BEATRIZ GALINDO

Orden ECD/365/2018, de 23 de marzo, por la que se aprueban las bases para la concesión y se convocan las ayudas Beatriz Galindo

Las ayudas se concederán a las Universidades públicas en una de las dossiguientes modalidades: a) Ayuda Beatriz Galindo senior: para la obtención de una ayuda Beatriz Galindo senior se requerirá una calificación de la solicitud de la Universidad igual o superior a los 8 puntos sobre 10. El docente y/o investigador deberá acreditar una experiencia de al menos siete años en docencia e investigación en el extranjero, a contar desde la obtencióndel título de Doctor. b) Ayuda Beatriz Galindo junior: para la obtención de una Beatriz Galindo junior serequerirá una calificación de la solicitud de la Universidad igual o superior a 7 puntossobre 10. El docente y/o investigador deberá acreditar una experiencia, como máximo, de siete años en docencia e investigación en el extranjero, a contar desde la obtención deltítulo de Doctor.
